Dear Lee County Striker Families,

Hello everyone.  I’m hoping coming off a successful campaign with us, you feel better about our process here at LCS.  We had some significant programmatic changes and will be announcing more as we continue to build a better, more efficient, effective and creative process to help build more passionate and intelligent footballers and character in the youth in our soccer community.

 

As our season winds down, we need to acknowledge our teams, players and coaches successes in winning many matches, competitions, cups and most importantly, being on the right side of developing the intellect and passion of our players.  I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve   witnessed great energy, joy, passion and quality in training at Kelly Road.  Our club motto of Getting Better Every Day was certainly consistently on display.

 

In saying that, we also now need turn our attention and focus to tryouts for this upcoming 2019-20 season.  They are coming up quickly especially because we have been granted US Club Soccer status as an affiliate and our new partnership with BWP (Black Watch Premier Soccer Club, (website: http://www.bwpsocceralbany.com) who will be helping us improve our overall processes by streamlining key areas in delivering a higher quality program for all of our families.  With the tryouts imminent, so I wanted to also include key dates that will be of interest for you.

 

Spring Timeline:

April 23-26, May 6-10 US Club and FYSA Tryouts.

All players born 2001 - 2009 should attend the US Club tryouts (April 23-26)

Players born 2010 and later must attend the FYSA tryout dates only which are May 6-10th  

 

May 17-July 5

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS program starts

• Pick-up small sided, all ages, boys and girls

 

Important dates:

July 5-August 12

Official Summer Break

 

August 12th

First official practice (2most likely start sooner

 

Thank you for your patience and commitment to LSC.  We will continue to evolve and strive to provide the best possible soccer experience for all of our players and families.  Regardless of level or experience, whether in our introductory Recreation program or competing for a State Cup or Regional Championship, we will teach and develop and work to build your children into becoming the best versions of themselves out on the pitch.
